Rejection Sucks!
Rejection sucks, right?! Of course it does. Actually, I think that the fear of rejection tends to stop many of us from doing things, trying things, being courageous, and being authentic because it puts us in harms way, in a big way. If we are being authentic and we are rejected, that means that our true self has been denied. Ouch!!!!
Shit man, I wish that weren’t the case, and I wish that I could help you avoid those painful feelings. I wish that I could avoid them myself. It f%$&ing hurts. My stomach hurts thinking about it. Alas, it’s part of life, and if we are truly living it and taking chances then we are probably going to get rejected along the way.
Hmmmmmmm, now I’m thinking that this applies to so many things and holds us back on so many levels:
- Love
- Relationships
- Creativity
- Work
I’m sure there are more, but those are sticking out for me right now.
When we put ourselves out there, there’s a strong chance that we are going to get hurt. But, if we stay safe in our little caves, we could miss out on a whole lot of life. Dude, that just reminded me of a cute little movie that I watched with my kids. You probably didn’t see it, but actually, it was quite good. It was heart warming and had a great message. It was called The Croods.
Anyway, they were a cave family just surviving and hiding in their cave doing the bare minimum to make it to the next day. The family ended up pushing themselves out of their comfort zone, thanks to their adventurous daughter, and got to experience a whole new world that they never knew could have possibly existed.
That’s what this tapping round is about, I guess.
It’s about healing from rejection, but also about taking the chance at being rejected in order to live to the fullest, experience the full gamut of emotions, and find out what’s possible, despite the possibility of being hurt in the process.
So, if you’ve been rejected, go ahead and use this EFT Tapping Script (or your own words would be even better) to give yourself some relief and balance.
Get Some Relief from the Pain of Rejection
Even though I’ve been rejected, I choose to relax and love and accept myself, anyway.
Even though I’ve been discarded and I don’t know why, I choose to take a deep breath and let it go.
Even though I feel dejected because I’ve been rejected, I choose to be present and find beauty in the pain.
EB: I feel humiliated.
SE: It’s painful.
UE: My stomach hurts.
UN: I can barely look at myself in the mirror.
CH: I’ve been rejected.
CB: I’m sad.
UA: I’m confused.
TH: This is incredibly painful.
EB: It’s okay.
SE: I can relax now.
UE: I choose to find a way to forgive myself for anything I may have done to deserve this.
UN: I choose to forgive the person who rejected me.
CH: I choose to let this go and move on.
CB: I choose to learn from my mistakes.
UA: I choose to learn from my experiences.
TH: I choose peace.
Take a deep breath in and hold it….then let it go nice big and smooth.
I hope that this has resonated with you in some way. Please let me know if it has helped and how.
With Love,

Hello Erin! I totally love what you wrote because it’s honest and you refuse to hold back when it comes to emotions. It’s true that rejection sucks but this happens because our true self got denied, you are so right on that. Most people wear their best masks on the first dates, then they proceed to keep those masks when they get into a relationship.
We can’t hide forever who we are, eventually our true colors will show and it’s when everything starts snowballing and hurting really bad. Rejection, painful break-ups and emotions that cannot be described with words.
Your technique is amazing because it allows the person to be vulnerable to themselves and accept the pain instead of rejecting it. It definitely vibes with my way of thinking. Please keep up with the amazing work! Keep shining!
